PA-CRT: Chinese Remainder Theorem Based Conditional Privacy-Preserving Authentication Scheme in Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks

چکیده

Existing security and identity-based vehicular communication protocols used in Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs) to achieve conditional privacy-preserving mostly rely on an ideal hardware device called tamper-proof (TPD) equipped vehicles. Achieving fast authentication during the message verification process is usually challenging such strategies further they suffer performance constraints from resulting overheads. To address challenges, this paper proposes a novel Chinese remainder theorem (CRT)-based scheme for securing authentication. The proposed protocol only requires realistic TPDs, eliminates need pre-loading master key onto vehicle's TPDs. can dynamically assist trusted authorities (TAs) whilst generating broadcasting new group keys vehicles network. solves leakage problem side channel attacks, ensures higher level of entire system. In addition, avoids using bilinear pairing operation map-to-point hash process, which helps achieving faster even under increasing number signature. Moreover, analysis shows that our secure random oracle model efficient reducing computation

APPA: Aggregate Privacy-Preserving Authentication in Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks

Most securityand privacy-preserving protocols in vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) heavily rely on time-consuming cryptographic operations which produce a huge volume of cryptographic data. These data are usually employed for many kinds of decisions, which poses the challenge of processing the received cryptographic data fast enough to avoid unaffordable reaction delay. To meet that challenge,...

Authentication vs. Privacy within Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks

Security and protection of private user information are a prerequisite for the deployment of the vehicular network technologies. Nevertheless, the establishment of a secure communication architecture within vehicular ad hoc networks address special challenges, due to the characteristic and specificities of such environment (high dynamic and mobility of nodes, high rate of topology changes, high...

PAACP: A portable privacy-preserving authentication and access control protocol in vehicular ad hoc networks

Recently, several studies addressed security and privacy issues in vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs). Most of them focused on safety applications. As VANETs will be available widely, it is anticipated that Internet services could be accessed through VANETs in the near future. Thus, non-safety applications for VANETs would rise in popularity. This paper proposes a novel portable privacy-preserv...
